Are all taps WELS approved?

Yes, all Oliveri taps in our current range are WELS approved. The WELS Star Ratings and nominal flow rates (litres per minute) for each tap are listed in our literature and on the product page for each tap.

What are the taps made of?

Dezincification Resistant (DR) brass, in compliance with AS/NZS 3718

Are all of the mixers in the Oliveri tapware range made in Italy?

The majority of our taps are made in Italy - refer to our catalogue or website for individual product information.

What is the black coating on the gooseneck (VT0426C/B) and the black pin handles?

These components are powder coated.

What material is the black flexible hose on the VT0392C/B taps?

The material is called “Ecoflex”. It is a polyethylene, tested and conforming to requirements for use in the area of drinking water systems.

Are Oliveri taps suitable for “low pressure water systems”?

No, they are only suitable for mains pressure systems.

What does the WELS Star Rating mean?

The WELS (Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme) Star Rating is based on the nominal flow rate of the tap, during testing. A tap can be rated between 1 Star and 6 Stars.
The higher the star rating, the higher the water efficiency, but the slower your sink will fill.

What is the warranty period on Oliveri taps?

The warranty is 5, 15 or 10 years, depending on the model chosen. For further details refer to our 'Service and Warranty' page.

Can I use my mixer on a gravity feed or rainwater tank?

No, all Oliveri mixer require mains water pressure.
 

What is the appropriate water pressure for my Oliveri or Hansgrohe Mixer?

Oliveri's mixers from the Essentails range have a maxium operating pressure of 500kpa (5 bar).

All other Oliveri and Hansgrohe Mixers have a maximum operating pressure of 600kpa (6 bar)

If your water pressure exceeds the maximum water pressure specified for your mixer, a pressure limiting valve must be fitted. Failure to do so will void the warranty.

What is the minimum and maximum water operating pressure that Oliveri taps are suited to?

The recommended operating pressure is between 100 - 500kpa (1 - 5 bar).

Oliveri's mixers from the Essentials range have a maxium operating pressure of 500kpa (5 bar).

All other Oliveri and Hansgrohe Mixers have a maximum operating pressure of 600kpa (6 bar)
